Song Key & BPM Finder
Instantly detect the tempo (BPM) and musical key of any track. DJs use it to build harmonic mixes, producers use it to match samples and acapellas to their projects, and musicians use it to learn songs faster. The analyzer runs autocorrelation and frequency analysis directly in your browser — drop a file in and the tempo and root key appear in seconds, with your audio never leaving your device.
How to use it
- Open the Key & BPM Finder and load any MP3, WAV, FLAC or AAC file.
- Wait a moment while the beat and pitch detection algorithms scan the track.
- Read the detected BPM and musical key from the analyzer display.
- Use the values to mix, remix, or practice — or analyze another track.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find the BPM of a song?
Load the song into the analyzer above. It detects repeating energy peaks in the waveform (the beats) and calculates how many occur per minute — that number is the BPM.
What is a song key and why does it matter?
The key is the tonal center of a song — the scale it is built around, like A minor or F major. Knowing it lets DJs mix tracks harmonically and helps producers pick samples that fit together.
How accurate is the detection?
Very reliable for most rhythmic music. Tracks with rubato, tempo changes or very sparse percussion can be harder to pin down — double-check unusual results by ear.
Is my file uploaded for analysis?
No — analysis runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is sent to any server.
